Overall, very passionate and helpful. However, it could have been better. The tutor preferred Google Hangout to revise the essay while communicating with me directly. However, because every edit was attempted on the spot, there was some waste of time since things could have been done quicker if the tutor had read the essay before the class. In addition, the overall quality of the tutor's edits was slightly questionable. The essays always got significantly better when handed over to the final editor. I couldn't help questioning if the tutor's revision was really necessary when the final editor could make way better changes anyway.

부담스럽게 느껴졌던 컨설팅을 상대적으로 저렴하게 한 것 같아서 정말 만족스러워요.

튜터분이 제가 어떤 내용과 스타일의 에세이를 원하는지 물어보시고 그거에 맞춰서 에세이 지도를 해주신 점이 너무 좋았어요! 또 제가 한 활동이나 성격에 맞추어 저만의 라이팅 스타일을 찾도록 이끌어주신 것도, 그리고 에세이에 제 어떠한 모습을 드러내면 좋을지 추천해주신 것도 너무 도움이 많이 됐습니다! 에세이를 제가 직접 써보고 그 에세이를 기반으로 에디팅 해주시는 수업 방식이 글쓰는 능력을 기르는 데 도움이 많이 됐던 것 같아요. 그 외에도 에세이 지도해주시는 과정에서 미국 입시와 관련된 다양한 팁을 주시고 전반적으로 도와주신 것도 너무 감사했습니다.

저는 고3 에세이 제출 네 달 전쯤부터 윤소현(Kate) 선생님께 도움을 받았어요:) 선생님께서는 제 첫 에세이를 읽어보시곤 군더더기 이야기는 지우고 제가 정말 하고 싶었던 얘기만 잘 뽑아내서 글을 쓸 수 있도록 방향성을 제시해주셨어요. 에세이를 쓰면서 가장 힘든 게 에세이의 핵심이 다른 곳으로 새지 않고 한 줄기로 잘 흘러가면서도 감동을 줄 수 있어야 한다는 점이었어요. 선생님께서는 제 에세이의 논점이 흐려진다 싶은 부분은 항상 밑줄을 그어주시곤 제가 하고 싶은 핵심적인 말로 바꾸어서 정리하는 걸 도와주셨는데, 그러는 과정에서 시간도 많이 절약되고 저도 제 에세이의 방향을 흔들리지 않고 잡을 수 있었어요. 그리곤 내용이 어느 정도 다 잡히고 나면 문법과 표현 부분에서도 에세이를 최종적으로 고쳐주시는데, 이 과정을 거치고 나니 에세이에 대한 걱정은 80% 이상 덜 수 있었어요! 아마 윤소현 선생님이 안 계셨으면 전 에세이로 다섯 배는 더 힘들었을 거예요ㅠㅠ
