Why Do I Want to Go to College?

​

There can be many answers to this question. Societal expectations. Parental pressure. Because friends are going. Success. Fame. Fear of failure. To avoid being left behind.

​

However, there is a definitive answer to this question: to achieve my ‘dream’. A dream represents what I truly desire.

​

"I wish for a world without discrimination." "I want my family to live without need." "I want to live each day happily, without causing harm to others."

​

A dream is not a job. Rather, it’s what you wish to accomplish through that job. A dream is not about owning things. Rather, it’s about what you hope to achieve by owning them. Similarly, a dream is not about being accepted to a university. It’s about what you aim to achieve by gaining that acceptance.

​

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over my decade of experience in the American university admissions process, it’s that prestigious universities in the U.S. seek students who know their ‘dreams’ and have worked diligently in pursuit of them. Such individuals are the ones who truly live remarkable lives.

​

Living in a sometimes confusing society, it’s natural to feel unsure, confused, or forgetful about one’s ‘dream’. However, with the desire to seek, you can always find it.

​

Paschar Consulting (Paschar, Guardian Angel of Vision) was established to assist in the process of designing such dreams. As alumni of Ivy League and Top 10 universities, our consultants have achieved their own dreams in their respective fields and now serve as life coaches for students.
