Name your favorite books, authors, films, and/or musical artist.

My favorite books are Catch – 22, Los Ojos de Perro Siberiano, Flowers for Algernon, A Prayer for Owen Meany, and The Alchemist. I guess my favorite film is Inception; I’ve watched it about five times. And as a Korean/guitarist I love to listen to Sungha Jung and Psy.


What newspapers, magazines, and/or websites do you enjoy?

www.stumbleupon.com Press “Stumble,” and this website takes you to the most fascinating, bizarre, or heartbreaking articles and pages you would never have imagined existed. It grants the thrill of discovery, the amusement of life stories, and procrastination.


What is the most significant challenge that society faces today?

The inequality of distribution of welfare and human treatment.


How did you spend your last two summers?

Helped out my grandmother in squid business and was paid the minimum wage, spent time with my sister who returned from New Mexico, volunteered at Gwangju Deaf Association, set up easy experiments for kids at a library, said hello to the grandmothers paddling with kickboard at Ori YMCA and swam.


What were your favorite events (e.g.. performances, exhibits, sporting events, etc.) this past year?

I stayed up till 3 a.m. to watch the London Olympics 2012. Other than that, I enjoyed the 3rd National Flag Football Competition and 2012 Mayan Civilization Exhibit at the National Museum of Korea, which I went to with my flag football team and the Spanish Honor Society, respectively.


What historical moment or event do you wish you could have witnessed?

The cloning of a sea urchin in 1885; it is the first clone ever!


What five words best describe you?

Fishy, mathmaticious, a football tank, family guy, squid.
