1. Carnegie Mellon University

2. Colorado College

Colorado College, a private liberal arts school in Colorado Springs founded in 1874, ranks #29 among National Liberal Arts Colleges, #13 in Undergraduate Teaching, and #3 in Innovation (2025). Known for its unique Block Plan, students take one course at a time in small, flexible classes that encourage deep exploration. With 42 majors and 33 minors, students complete eight courses yearly, with breaks between each block to recharge.
